The northern edge of a squall line on April 26, 2009 just outside of Boone, Iowa.

The storm had some structure earlier with some embedded supercells but decided to shelf out on us, being almost always that way on the northern edge of storms...

Very photogenic to say the least, unfortunately we were in Central Iowa where the big storms were supposed to be, and my luck a torando touched down 2 miles from my house back in Eastern Iowa!!!!!!! :(

Beautiful! :wow: Ah go figure, it sucks driving a long ways only to find out it happens pretty much where you started.

Thanks! The leading edge of these storms are scary to look at, but isn't too threatening :D, but the storms a ways behind it turn out to be!
:icong00b3rs:
Thank you! It definitely sucks driving X amount of miles to the risk area, and getting those rogue storms almost out of the general T-Storm risk area!
:icong00b3rs:
Thanks! I need to redeem myself this year though :D
:iconmoe2112:
My pleasure! Exactly, that certainly can be frustrating. It's definitely worth all the driving though if the chase is a success :D
